Batgirl
“I used the Periwinkle dress (lining for the bodice), cut in between tunic and vintage length. I used Timber Wolf sleeves and adjusted the armscye to fit. I paired with Poppy leggings. Mask, cape and tutu are self drafted.” -Jackie Pritchard
Tiana
“I used Poinsettia with an overlay as the base pattern. I modified the skirt by adding 2 more overlays shaped as leaf petals. I also modified the bodice by adding petals onto it. I used cotton woven and tulle all from Joann Fabric.” -BJ Benson
BB8
“Mostly made according to pattern directions for Nutmeg, with the exception of adding the bias trim to the right side of the sleeves for the contrast band. I also added the dress length ruffle skirt of Azalea dress pattern for the orange petticoat layer.” -Lucy James
Oogie Boogie
“I used the Raven pattern, and added a band of green for the front and face details on the hood.” -Melissa Sheffer
Belle
“I added 4 layers of tulle overlay to my Apricot bodice and added the off the shoulder sleeve into the side and strap seams. For the skirt I followed the Poinsettia instructions for the tulle layers and cut to my desired length, and hand gathered the top layer for effect.” -Miranda Heninger
Rainbow Dash
“I used Tigerlily as a base and just made the skirt with tulle. The tail is self drafted.” -Andrea Grant
Alicorn
“I used Pumpkin, Fern , and Lilac. The only modification made was I did 6 layers of tulle skirts for Lilac and lengthened the tie a few inches so it was more like a ‘tail’.” -Noel Tierney
Aurora
“I used the Apricot pattern. I lengthened the skirt to be floor length by measuring the waist of where Apricot hits Lucy to the floor. I used a cotton lycra on the back instead of the elastic (cut the back panel the same width as the elastic measurement and then sewed the back panel on as normal but without the elastic casings). I also added a removable flounce that snaps onto the front and back. The sleeves are CL handless gloves (basically tubes).” -Josie Booth
Tiger
“I used the Pepper romper, Pumpkin pullover, and Lily hood. I made the Lily hood a little longer and wider to be able to add it onto the Pumpkin pullover and added a tail to the Pepper romper.” -Laura Leidig
Cheerleader
“Apricot.” -Erin Shoemaker
Elsa
“I used the Nutmeg pattern. I added a double layer of tulle over the skirt, and made puffy cap sleeves out of the tulle. For a little extra fun, I added a cape to the removable back strap.” -Jenna Blecher
Witch
“I used the bodice and sleeves of the Arrowwood and hacked the skirt to be floor length. I cut 2 pieces (1 front and 1 back), the top part width matching the bodice and the bottom part 3 times wider. I also replaced the corset straps by stretchy glittery ribbons.” -Stéphanie Custeau
Lilo
“I used the Timber Wolf pattern. I extended the skirt length to be floor length. I determined the length I wanted by measuring my daughter from neckline (where the neckband will sit) to her feet. I kept the sides a bit narrower until I got closer to the floor length. I used HTV for the palm leaves.” -Stephanie Wegner
Isabela Madrigal
“I used the Tulip pattern for this dress. The Tulip bodice was perfect with its neck and sleeve ruffles, I just added an extra ruffle to each sleeve. For the skirt, I made the middle tier using the dress skirt dimensions as a starting point and then cut it on an angle. I made a top tier based on shortening the dress skirt dimensions and cut on an angle. I measured my daughter from where the bodice ended to the floor to make the longest tier. I also made each skirt a double layer of satin on the bottom with organza over the top.” -Jessie Donohue
Alice
“I used Wren and Fawn. Wren is not modified. Fawn was cut a little shorter on length and I didn’t connect the back. I added strips for bows to extend the straps and added two loops on the back to tie into.” -Melissa Sheffer
Rapunzel
“I used Arrowwood. I made it without sleeves in comfy rib knit for the perfect princess play dress! I hacked the circle skirt to have a panel of pink in the front to match the bodice, and used ribbon for the corset front.” -Elise Sullivan
Strawberry Shortcake and Blueberry Muffin
“The patterns I used were Ivy, Fern, Lilac, Pumpkin and Poppy. The only tweak was using Lilac sleeves on the Pumpkin!” -Maggie White
“This is the Tulip dress with 3/4 length sleeves in tulle, in dress length. I also half-covered the bodice in the spiderweb tulle, so that it matched our Mr Spider.” -Kerry Kilmister
Minnie Mouse and Daisy Duck
“I used Wren and Wren Baby with no modifications.” -Julie Griffin
Rock Star
“I used the Raven tunic and Poppy leggings pattern to create this costume. I added the electric guitar on the front using my Cricut. I didn’t need to make any pattern modifications because Raven was already exactly what I envisioned for my daughter’s rock star costume!” -Jessie Donohue
