Hello y’all!
I am Megan from Lottie Dottie Customs and today I want to show you how to turn the Boo and Lu Pepper pattern into a swimsuit!
Let’s get started…
First thing you are going to do is cut out your pieces for the pepper, you will only need the top. I like to make mine the same width as I normally would, but I go up a size for length. That is totally optional though and you can cut the size you would normally make. I also prefer to use swim elastic in the back, I find it holds up better.
Next, you need to cut a circle skirt.
I use the one from the Buttercup pattern and cut it on the peplum line.

Now you are ready to start sewing!
Begin by creating the bodice as normal. Swim material is extra slippery so you may want to use extra clips or pins.
Now pin/clip the skirt onto the bottom. Be sure to get all the layers!
Serge around the entire waistline.
That’s it you are done!
Since swim material doesn’t fray I don’t hem the bottom, but you can!
